Older double-hung windows wear out in predictable ways: sashes that stick or won’t stay up, drafts around the frame, fog between the panes, and soft wood at the sill.
Once the seals fail or the frame starts to rot, there’s no lasting fix short of a new window. A new double-hung built to fit your opening slides easily, tilts in for cleaning and seals tight.
We remove the old window down to the opening, deal with any rot we find, and set a new full-frame window — then haul the old one away.

What’s the difference between single-hung and double-hung windows?
On a single-hung window only the bottom sash moves. On a double-hung, both sashes slide and tilt in, so you get more ways to vent the room and can clean the outside glass from inside.
Are double-hung windows energy efficient?
A new double-hung with a good glass package and a full-frame install seals much tighter than an old, worn window. We’ll go over glass options at your estimate.
Can I add grids or change the color?
Yes. You can choose grids and color and finish options inside and out. We’ll walk you through the choices at your estimate.
Do you install replacement inserts?
No. Every window we install is a full-frame replacement. We remove the old window down to the opening so we can check for rot and seal the new frame properly.
