A stone facade with black shutters is a great look — and the windows should live up to it. On Dominion Way in Louisville, a pair of dated, worn windows were dulling an otherwise striking elevation. Windows Plus replaced them with new double-hung windows that complement the stone and shutters beautifully.
Our window replacement services across Louisville cover projects like this one — expert installation backed by a lifetime warranty.
The Challenge
The two side-by-side windows had faded and clouded with age, and their worn frames stood out against the home’s handsome stone and crisp black shutters. Beyond looks, older paired windows like these tend to leak air where the sashes and frames have loosened over time — a comfort and energy-bill problem, especially through Louisville’s temperature swings.
What We Installed
We installed two new double-hung replacement windows in a warm almond tone that ties into the trim and shutters, finished with colonial grid patterns in the upper sashes for a classic, architecturally appropriate look. Custom-measured for a precise fit, the new windows seal tightly, tilt in for easy cleaning, and deliver the energy efficiency modern glass provides. Our factory-trained crew set and sealed both units for a clean, weathertight result.
The Result
The pairing now looks intentional and elevated — the almond frames and colonial grids play off the stone and shutters, and the whole elevation reads fresh. The homeowner gets the curb-appeal lift plus tighter seals and lower energy waste behind it.
