An old tile tub surround can make a whole bathroom feel dated — and it’s a chore to keep clean. On Montfort Lane in Crestwood, Windows Plus converted a tired bathtub into a bright, low-maintenance walk-in shower that looks and functions like new.
As specialists offering bathroom remodeling services in Crestwood, KY, Windows Plus brings this same expert craftsmanship to tub-to-shower conversions throughout the area.
The Challenge
The original bath was a standard tub with a white square-tile surround. The tile and grout had aged and discolored, the space felt dark and dated, and — as with any tile surround — the grout lines were a constant cleaning and maintenance headache. The homeowner wanted an easier-to-clean, more modern shower and a step-over that was lower than the old tub wall.
What We Installed
We performed a tub-to-shower conversion with smooth, solid-surface white walls that wipe clean in seconds — no grout to scrub — plus built-in corner storage and updated oil-rubbed bronze fixtures. A framed bronze-finish sliding glass door finishes the enclosure with a warm, modern accent. The result is a durable, low-maintenance shower system, professionally installed by our own team.
The Result
The bathroom feels brighter, bigger, and far more modern — and it is dramatically easier to keep clean. Swapping the high tub wall for a lower shower entry also makes the space more comfortable and accessible for everyday use.
